Murali in SL delegation to St. Kitts & Nevis

 

A Sri Lankan delegation will travel to the Caribbean next week to make the final presentation in a bid to win the hosting rights for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka's legendary spin bowler Muttiah Muralitharan is expected to play a significant role in the Sri Lankan delegation.

Southern port city Hambanthota is vying to host the CWG 2018 with Australia's Gold Coast of Queensland.

The Commonwealth member countries will vote at the Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly on 11th of November to choose either Sri Lanka or Australia as the hosting country of the 2018 games.
