Inaugural National Reconciliation Conference today

 
The Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies is hosting the inaugural National Reconciliation Conference.

The Institute's role is to influence and shape the wider considerations of national policy while guaranteeing the fundamental freedoms and achieving the common aspirations of every section of Sri Lanka's populace.

At today's event, there will be 14 prominent speakers from various backgrounds sharing their expertise and experiences on reconciliation. The keynote address will be by Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa on "Sri Lanka from Conflict to Reconciliation". External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Management at the Kadirgamar Institute will be speaking on "Reconciliation and the International Community".
