U.S Congressman hails post-war development in North & East

 
Expressing fortitude with the Sri Lankan Government, United States Congressman Heath Schuler hailed the reconciliation; resettlement and progressive development work under taken in the post-war North and East, stated the Ministry of Defence.

"I was inspired by the progress I saw in Sri Lanka, just since my visit in 2009. It is clear that the military has fully and successfully accomplished the mission in defeating terrorism", Congressman Shuler has stated in a communiqu‚ released on 29th November.

In his communiqu‚ to Secretary Defence Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Congressman Shuler further reiterates that Sri Lanka is now a safe and secure place.

Joseph Heath Shuler is the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 11th congressional district, serving since 2007. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
