India's External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka from 16-19 January 2012. During his visit, Minister Krishna is expected to call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Prime Minister.
He would also meet with his counterpart Prof. G.L. Peiris, besides meeting with the political leaders, including the Leader of the Opposition in the Parliament, representatives of the Tamil National Alliance and other Sri Lankan parties, according to the Indian High Commission in Colombo.
The Indian Minister is also schedule to visit Kilinochchi and Jaffna in connection with Government of India assisted projects and also hand over the first lot of housing units at Ariyali, Jaffna.
He would also be visiting Galle where he is expected to inaugurate a segment of the Southern Railway Project implemented under a Line of Credit extended by India.
