External Affairs Minister of India, S. M. Krishna concluded his successful visit to Sri Lanka yesterday. Winding up his four-day visit, during which a host of programmes to increase cooperation were put in place, External Affairs Minister said it was a “testimony to the strength of enduring friendship between the two countries”.
During his four-day visit, Minister Krishna held discussions with President Mahinda Rajapaksa, External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris, representative of TNA and several others.
Nine Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) were signed between Sri Lanka and India including a housing project for IDPs, restoration of Northern railway line, financing Greater Dambulla Water Supply Project, cooperation in the field of agriculture and telecommunication.
