SriLankan recruits A’pura youth


SriLankan Airlines added the Anuradhapura District to its national recruitment programme to create employment opportunities for rural youth, to embark on careers as cabin crew of the national carrier.

The airline’s Human Resources team held preliminary interviews of hundreds of youth who have responded with eagerness, to take advantage of this opportunity.

After the interview process, the selected candidates will commence an intensive cabin crew Training Programme and a Personality Development Course followed by a series of tests, and then absorbed to a much sought after cabin crew career.

The airline has invested significantly in this programme to give all the necessary skills and confidence that the job demands.

SriLankan has already conducted recruitment drives in the Districts of Galle, Matara, Hambantota, Badulla, Kalutara and Kandy with much success in attracting very promising, service-oriented youth to serve the national carrier.

Our objective is to continue our search for rural talent and give equal opportunities to the youth in all parts of Sri Lanka , said SriLankan Chairman, Nishantha Wickremasinghe.

The airline has major plans for expansion which will create many openings for the youth in the future, he said.
