Sri Lanka Expo 2012 to attract world's top brands


"Sri Lanka Expo 2012", organized by the Export Development Board (EDB) will be held from March 28th to March 31st at the BMICH in Colombo.

The owners of world famous brands such as Walmart, Global Sourcing, ASDA, Arcadia, H&M, Victoria's Secret, BHS, M&S Calzedonia S.p.A and Lulu are expected to participate in the exhibition as buyers.

The organizers say that the objective of the fair is to attract overseas buyers to Sri Lanka while instilling confidence in product and services.

Sri Lanka Expo 2012 will feature an array of exports giving buyers and visitors the opportunity to experience the true essence of Sri Lankan entrepreneurship, the organizers say.

Sri Lanka Expo 2012 has provided 300 plus Sri Lankan exporters to showcase their merchandise to an international audience and earn global recognition.

Over 300 stalls covering the entire range of traditional and non-traditional products and services are to be featured in the Expo, which is a combination of exhibition, symposiums, keynote addresses and corporate events.

As a part of the Expo 2012, a symposium on the theme 'Sri Lanka - the Hub of Asia' will be held at the National Performing Arts Theater in Colombo on the 29th March 2012.
