Tri-lingual channel by SLBC

 

The Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) commenced a new radio channel which programmes in all three languages.

Accordingly, Time Radio on 87.6 MHz which gives prominence to sports will air current affairs and entertainment programmes in Sinhala, Tamil and English, complying with the trilingual policy of the Government.

UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa officially launching Time Radio observed that it would help bring talented young sportsmen and women to cities and to international levels.

2012 was declared as the Year for a Trilingual Sri Lanka.
