Pakistan's Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Khalid Shameem Wynne called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday at Temple Trees.

General Wynne is in Sri Lanka on a five-day official visit from 18th to 22nd March on the invitation of Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke.

Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga and Air Chief Marshal Goonetileke and the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Colombo Ms. Seema Illahi Baloch were also present.

General Wynne also called on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake at the Naval Headquarters yesterday.

During his stay in Sri Lanka General Wynne, in addition to the President, is scheduled to meet Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the Commanders of all the three services.
