No scheduled meeting between TNA & Secretary Clinton

 
Clarifying recent media reports that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has invited the TNA to visit Washington, the United States said there is no scheduled meeting between TNA and Secretary Clinton.

Issuing a statement, the U.S. Embassy in Colombo said the Secretary invited Minister GL Peiris to Washington on May 18 and welcomes that visit.

“While the United States seeks to engage with all political parties in Sri Lanka, there is no visit scheduled for the TNA, either before or after that meeting”, the statement said.
