Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas arrived Sri Lanka yesterday (April 15) for a two-day official visit.

The Palestinian Foreign Minister Dr. Riyad Al-Maliki and a delegation of Palestinian officials are accompanying President Abbas on his visit.

President Abbas is scheduled to meet the President Mahinda Rajapaksa today.

Palestinian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khouloud Daibes recently visited Sri Lanka and held discussions with Minister of External Affairs Prof. G. L. Peiris on strengthening the relations and cooperation in the fields of tourism, investment and trade between the two countries.
