President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is currently on a four-day official visit to Korea met a group of leading business delegates today.
During the meeting the business delegates were apprised of the current situation in Sri Lanka and the vast opportunities for trade, investments and tourism for Korean companies in the country.
The Executive Vice Chairman, Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business Jae Hee Song, Vice Chairman and CEO, Federation of Korean Industries Byung Chal Jung, Chairman, Korean Exporters' Association Lee Ju Jae, Chairman, Korean Chamber of commerce and industry, Sohn Kyung Shik held discussions with President Rajapaksa.
Later, Chairmen of Hanjin Group, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering and Lotte Group of Companies discussed with the President about available investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.
Speaking to four Korean conglomerates yesterday President Rajapaksa said Sri Lanka today able to provide a robust new investment destination as a frontier country to the rest of the world.
The President is scheduled to address Sri Lanka- Korea Business Forum by Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday.
