The administration of Qatar including its Emir has appreciated the disciplined and quality service tendered by the expatriate Sri Lankan workers in the rich Gulf country.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who was in Qatar on an official tour, told a group of immigrant Sri Lankan workers that they are providing a valuable service to the development of Sri Lanka when he met with them Monday (21) in Doha.
President Rajapaksa has said that his expectation is for the future generation to inherit a country with peace and prosperity for them to live with pride and all must contribute to achieve that goal.
The President personally has inquired into the wellbeing of the Sri Lankans who came to meet him.
President Rajapaksa also visited the Pearl-Qatar Institute in Doha which is dew eloping an artificial island with residential and commercial properties.
