SL, Qatar sign Investment Promotion Agreement

 
The ‘Agreement for the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments’ was signed between Sri Lanka and Qatar on 22ndMay 2012 during the first official visit of President Mahinda Rajapaksa to the State of Qatar.

Senior Minister of Urban Affairs A. H. M. Fowzie and Minister of Finance, of Qatar Youssif Hussain Kamal, signed the agreement on behalf of two countries.

Ambassador Jayantha Palipane, BOI Chairman Mr. Ferdinando, Additional Secretary Mr. I. Ansar and the Deputy Chief of the Mission, Mrs. Sithara Khan were present on the occasion.
