Two vehicle ships to arrive in Hambantota port next week

Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPC) says that two ships loaded with vehicles will arrive at the MagamRuhunuPuraMahindaRajapaksa port in Hambantota on June 05 and 06.

The government decided to divert all vehicle shipments to the southern port to ease the heavy traffic congestion in Colombo port.

The Ports Authority has promised to quicken the vehicle clearing process at Hambantota port.
Already, David Peiris Company, the agent for Bajaj motorcycles and three wheelers have shifted their assembling plant to Hambantota.
