A large number of invitees participated in the thanksgiving mass held at the St. Paul’s Cathedral yesterday on the sidelines of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Heads of State of 54 Commonwealth countries have already arrived in London to attend a number of events to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Monday attended a special reception hosted for the visiting Heads of States at Buckingham Palace. The President also held talks with Commonwealth General Secretary Kamalesh Sharma and Director General Alan Collins.
