These orders have been received from Kenya, South Africa, Dubai, Somalia and Ethiopia, the Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Internal Trade Sunil S. Sirisena said.

Sri Lanka has already exported 6,000 metric tons of rice to South Africa and 3,000 metric tons to Dubai.

Every week, twenty five containers of rice are shipped to Dubai while fifteen containers each are shipped to South Africa, Ethiopia and Somalia, says the secretary.
