Modern amenities to 1,000 secondary schools

 
The Government will launch a programme to develop 1,000 secondary schools with modern amenities.

Under this programme 1,000 Mahindodaya Technological Laboratories will be established within the school system. The project is supervised by the Education and Youth Affairs and Skills Development Ministry.

As a first step, a Technological Laboratory at the Ratmalana Kotalawalapura Vidyalaya, will be opened by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on July 28.

The first technological laboratory will consist a complete modern Computer Laboratory, Distance Education Unit, Language Laboratory and Mathematics Laboratory.
