50mn to facilitate resettled in Jaffna

The Government has taken action to a grant of Rs. 50 million through Economic Development Ministry for the works to be done immediately in the resettled places of Jaffna District.

A discussion was held on the head of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development Minister and EPDP Secretary General Douglas Devananda regarding that on July 21 at the Jaffna District Secretariat.

The Minister made inquiries from the Divisional Secretaries and they detailed to the Minister regarding the basic needs to improve the livelihood of the settlers and the infrastructure activities to be taken forward.

Actions have also been taken to provide 500 tractors to develop cultivation in the resettled areas.
