The National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) lays foundation today to establish country's first green higher education academy. National School of Business Management, a subsidiary of NIBM is to be located in a 25-acre block of land in Pitipana, Homagama.
Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development Dullas Alahapperuma will lay the foundation stone for the construction.
NIBM expects to set up the education facility at a cost of Rs. 6 billion. The first stage of the academy to be completed in three years will provide facilities to 2,000 students.
The campus will include a fully equipped playground, indoor stadium and a swimming pool among others.
The stat-of-the-art academy will provide facilities to 15,000 students when it is completed within five years.
