The exposition of the Sacred Kapilavastu Relics at Manelwatte Maha Viharaya ended at 6am today and the relics will be taken to the Pelmadulla Rajamaha Viharaya.
Nearly one million devotees worshipped the sacred relics during the two and half days’ exposition at Manelwatte Temple.
The Sacred Relics will be placed at the Kelani Rajamaha Vihara for members of the Maha Sangha in Kelaniya to pay homage before being taken to the Pelmadulla Rajamaha Viharaya.
The Relics from the National Museum in Delhi were brought to Sri Lanka after three decades since the first Exposition in 1978.
