Postal voting today, tomorrow

The postal voting for the upcoming Eastern, North Central, and Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council elections will be held today and tomorrow.

There were 100,818 voters eligible for postal voting, Elections Department sources said.

Of the seven districts coming under the three provinces, Anuradhapura tops the list with the highest number of postal voters numbering 35,000.

Special arrangements have been made to provide security to the state institutions where postal voting is taking place.

Meanwhile, holding meetings and displaying posters and cutouts where voting is taking place are totally banned. The Police have warned to strictly enforce the election laws.

Those who missed the opportunity to cast their votes today can do so tomorrow.
