More than 16,000 registrations for eServices |

More than 16,000 registrations have by now been made under www.srilanka.lk for obtaining eServices.
The people’s interest in availing themselves of eServices keeps increasing and that in the past month registration for this has increased by about 25 per cent, Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) said.
Currently opportunity has been made available for people to obtain about 25 eServices provided by about 14 Government institutions close to the people. A good number of these eServices were launched on 3rd ultimo; others had been launched earlier. Majority of services are available online while some of them are available both online and via SMS. In addition to these, preparations have been made to introduce 12 more eServices in the near future.
Anyone could register themselves free of charge under www.srilanka.lk for obtaining the required eServices. If anyone encounters any problem in obtaining the required eService(s), they could contact 1919, the Government Information Centre (GIC), ICTA added.
