President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived in Sri Lanka this morning after participating in the first Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit in Kuwait.
In addition his participation at the ACD Summit President Rajapaksa also had a very busy schedule of bi-lateral discussions with several Heads of State and Government.
In his address to the ACD Summit President Rajapaksa explained that Asian Continent cannot be the playground of other forces, who seek its wealth, assets of nature and human resources. "We are seeing the dawn of the Age of Asia. We must together see it bring new light to a troubled world dominated by the grave errors of other Continents," he said.
Among the world leaders President met during the summit were his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Prime Minister of Thailand Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf.
During bi-lateral discussions President Rajapaksa briefed them of the development activities being implemented in the country.
