Commemorative coin to mark SL - Japan diplomatic relations


To mark the 60 th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Sri Lanka and Japan, the Central Bank has arranged to issue a silver commemorative coin of a face value of Rs. 1,000.

This is the 57 thin the series of commemorative coins issued by the Bank and it is minted by the Japan Mint on the request of the Government of Japan.

The coin will be officially handed over to President Mahinda Rajapaksa by Mr. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, the Governor of the Central Bank today (12).
