Warning signal network to be launched


A warning signal network is being setup as a measure to fore warn people minimise damage.

Already 74 towers have been built along the coastal belt for this purpose. warn the people Additional towers will be constructed in vulnerable areas covering all the 14 districts affected by the tsunami.

Electric sirens, megaphones and manual sirens have already issued to Members of village Committees.

The Ministry of Disaster Management is implementing this program.
