SL Navy comes to the rescue of Indian fishermen

Sri Lanka naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command have come to the aid of 10 Indian fishermen who were stranded in the last Sunday (December 16).

The fishermen have managed to beach at Kachchativu Island after their fishing trawler had capsized in the rough seas due to prevailing adverse weather conditions.

The Navy personnel have spotted the group and provided them with basic needs on humanitarian grounds to sail back home.
