President Mahinda Rajapaksa spoke with Xi Jinping, the newly appointed President of the People’s Republic of China to wish him all success during his tenure of office.

During the 15 minutes long telephone conversation on March 16 President Rajapaksa also discussed with the new Chinese leader, matters of mutual interest with a view to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
