Australia has deported 20 Sri Lankan asylum seekers from Christmas Island yesterday.
Immigration Minister of Australia Brendan O'Connor said they did not have a legal right to remain in Australia.
All 20 were sent back involuntarily, the Minister said.
According to Minister O'Connor since August last year, 963 Sri Lankans have been sent back.
Only about 200 of them have gone back voluntarily.
