The British Airways will resume its services to Sri Lanka from the 14th of April, 2013. The carrier will start flights from Gatwick airport in London to Colombo via Male in the Maldives. The service will run three times a week on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday on a Boeing 777-200.
"Sri Lanka has emerged as one of the most popular destinations among leisure and business travellers," Christopher Fordyce British Airways' regional commercial manager for South Asia said. Britain is the second largest source of tourists for Sri Lanka with 114,218 tourists arriving in the island in 2012.
