"We have not arrested any Indian fishermen anywhere", Navy spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya, has told media.

Indian media reports said that nine fishermen from Pudukottai district in Tamil Nadu had been arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy when they were fishing mid-sea.
