President sends condolences to Bangladesh

 
President Mahinda Rajapaksa expressed profound sadness at the tragic incident that took place in Rana Plaza earlier this month resulting in heavy loss of life.

“On behalf of the Government and the people of Sri Lanka and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to you and through you, to the bereaved families of those who lost their lives in this unfortunate incident,” President Rajapaksa said in his letter to Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina.
