30 released TN fishermen return home

 
Thirty fishermen from Rameswaram, who were set free by Mannar court after being arrested by Sri Lanka Navy in April 2013 on charges of poaching, arrived at Rameswaram on Wednesday.

The fishermen were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy on April 6, 2013 while fishing near Katchatheevu, an islet ceded by India to Sri Lanka, for allegedly entering into Lankan waters, PTI reported.

The Mannar court on Wednesday ordered their release following which they were handed over to Indian Coast Guard personnel at the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) by Sri Lankan Navy personnel.
