Singapore assistance to train public sector officials

 

The Ministry of Finance and Planning yesterday signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore to train public sector officials towards building stronger relationships between Singapore and Sri Lanka.

Secretary to the Treasury Dr. P.B. Jayasundera and Professor Kishore Mahbubani Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy signed the agreement today at the Ministry.

Inaugurating the Eminent Speaker Series at Miloda Academy of Financial Studies, Professor Mahbubani also delivered a lecture today titled "Sri Lanka's potential in the new Asian hemisphere" at the Academy.

Miloda Academy of Financial Studies, the recently opened training arm of the Ministry of Finance and Planning, is a state-of-the-art training facility, established to improve the quality of the human resources of the Ministry of Finance, the revenue collecting and other key agencies of the Sri Lanka and to upgrade the quality of public sector employees who are in the forefront of policy formulation and execution.
