Sri Lanka Treasury Bills oversubscribed


Central Bank's issue of Rs.15 billion Treasury Bills at the weekly auction on Wednesday for the week ending 31 May, 2013 was oversubscribed over 2.5 times.

At the weekly primary auction, the re-issue of Rs.15 billion maturing Treasury bills was oversubscribed with bids amounting Rs. 40.23 billion being received, the Central Bank said. The Bank has decided to accept Rs. 23.65 billion from the auction.

The one-year Treasury bill rate remained same from last week at 10.86%. The Bank has accepted Rs. 17.3 billion on one-year T-bills.

The Bank accepted Rs. 4.92 billion in 6-month and Rs. 1.43 billion in 3-month bills.
