New Zealand Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully will depart Monday on a trip to India and Sri Lanka.

A New Zealand Foreign Affairs Ministry statement said in Sri Lanka, the Minister is expected to discuss the country's hosting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in November, as well as prospects for New Zealand's dairy trade.

"This is a good opportunity to discuss Sri Lanka's hosting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in November, as well as prospects for our quarter-billion dollar dairy trade," Mr. McCully has said.

Mr. McCully will also meet the ministers of External Affairs and Economic Development to discuss Sri Lanka's post-conflict progress.
