Saudi Arabia extends amnesty


Saudi Arabia has extended the general amnesty period given to illegal migrants including Sri Lankans, since yesterday (02).

The amnesty period will remain up to November 4; 2013 and illegal migrant will get more time to apply for exist visa or return to their respective countries.

According to this, about 14000 Sri Lankan migrants have been staying in Saudi Arabia without legal documents and they could obtain temporary visa or exit permit to return to Sri Lanka without any punishment.
