The Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) appointed to recommend and report on political and constitutional measures has decided to call for public opinion.
It will meet public representations from today onwards and the interested persons, political parties, civil and religious organisations who have opinions, suggestions and recommendations could forward them to the PSC until August 09.
The PSC met for the first time in the Parliament complex last Tuesday the under leadership of its Chairman, the Leader of the House Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva. The Opposition has not yet nominated its members for the PSC.
The Select Committee is scheduled to meet again on July 26, the Government Information Department reported.
