President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday handed over appointment letters to 43 officers who were recruited to the Sri Lanka administrative service in Tamil medium.
The new recruits have been appointed to service the Eastern and Northern Provinces.
Addressing the function held at the Presidential Secretariat President Rajapaksa has urged the new appointees to render maximum service for the people in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.
He noted that government servants should properly identify issues public facing and resolve them expeditiously.
Public Administration and Home Affairs Minister W. D. J. Seneviratne, Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga, and Secretary to the Public Administration and Home Affairs Ministry P.B. Abeykoon were also present at the occasion.
