Floating market to be opened in Colombo

The Ministry of Defense and Urban Development has taken steps to develop the Bastian Street of Colombo as a green environment under the city beautification project.

The development is now taking place along the busy street between the long distance bus stand in Pettah and the Colombo Fort railway station.

A floating market is also a part of the development.

Under the project, around 100 traders who are in the area will have stalls to sell local products.
