Sri Lanka yesterday expressed concern over the situation in Thailand and urged all the parties involved in the conflict to find a solution through dialogue.
The External Affairs Ministry said in a statement that Sri Lanka is observing the developments taking place in Thailand.
"Sri Lanka encourages dialogue and cooperation amongst all parties concerned in finding a solution by adhering to democratic principles, preserving the rule of law and in reflecting the will of the Thai people," the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
Anti-government protests have been taking place in Thailand since last month in an attempt to topple Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's government.
The protests continued even after the Prime Minister has dissolved the parliament and called for new elections.
