Development is not for one province, but for entire country - President

The same duties I performed in the past for the country and the people will be performed by me today and tomorrow as well, said President Mahinda Rajapaksa. The development program of the government is not for one province but for the entire country, he said. The government will take action to hold Deyata Kirula National Development Exhibition in the Southern Province next year, he added.

The President was addressing the people gathered for the inauguration of the development work of Alpitiya – Pitigala road, this morning (Feb 10).

The President stated that the opposition party is finding faults with the government’s development program while they are using the facilities provided by these development projects. ‘The ongoing development program in the country is not important to those who support terrorism. Also, the people or the country are not important to them as they want only power’ President further stated.
