Deyata Kirula 2014; National Development Exhibition starts tomorrow


The 8th Deyata Kirula National Development Exhibition will be declared open by President Mahinda Rajapaksa at 5.00 pm tomorrow (21) in Kuliyapitiya.

The exhibition will be held from February 21 to February 27 at the University of Wayamba, Kuliyapitiya Technical College and Kuliyapitiya Central College premises.

The President Rajapaksa will address the gathering after unveiling the plaque. Following the speech, he is also scheduled to visit the Presidential Secretariat stall at the premises. Moreover, a commemorative stamp to mark the 8th Deyata Kirula National Development Exhibition will issue at the Postal Department stall.

Foreign Ambassadors, Diplomats, Ministers and MPs, People's representatives and Religious Leaders from all the religious communities are scheduled to attend the function.

The President will bestow the new Hettipola Bus Stand and Shopping Complex, Mahindodaya Technical laboratory at Hettipola Central College and Court Complex, Kuliyapitiya in the public on February 21 parallel to the Deyata Kirula 2014 exhibition. In addition, the President will distribute medical equipment to Kuliyapitiya Base Hospital.

Additionally, the President will present land deeds to 1,000 beneficiaries in Kurunegala and Puttalam districts at the Wayamba University Auditorium.
