The 8th Deyata Kirula National Development Exhibition will be declared open by President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Kuliyapitiya today (21).
The exhibition will be held from February 21 to February 27 at the University of Wayamba, Kuliyapitiya Technical College and Kuliyapitiya Central College premises.
Deyata Kirula will benefit the University of Wayamba by giving an auditorium with a seating capacity for 1,000 a student centre, sports complex and a nano-technical laboratory at a cost of Rs. 600 million.
Similarly, the Kuliyapitiya Technical College will get an administration complex at a cost of Rs. 60 million. The Kuliyapitiya Central College will be benefited with an auditorium and a two storey library at a cost of Rs. 155 million. In addition, the internal road network has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 200 million.
In addition, several roads connecting Kuliyapitiya and surrounding suburbs will be developed at a cost of Rs. 6,257 million.
Moreover, Rs. 380 million had been spent for the construction of four bridges on the Kadahapola - Madampe road.
Additionally, the President will present land deeds to 1,000 beneficiaries in Kurunegala and Puttalam districts at the Wayamba University Auditorium.
