Twenty seven new investors to H'tota


Twenty seven investors have expressed willingness to invest in various industrial ventures at the Hambantota seaport industrial zone.

Over 2,000 hectares of sea adjoining the harbour has been declared as a special economic zone to boost commercial and industrial activities.

Ports Authority Chairman Priyath Bandu Wickrama said among the projects proposed by investors are vehicle assembling, warehousing, petrochemicals, sugar refinery fertilizer and canning.
