Commission on Missing Persons Launches its Website

The Official Website of the Presidential Commission to Investigate into Complaints regarding Missing Persons was launched yesterday, May 20, 2014 at the Commission Office in Colombo 6. The website address is http://www.pcicmp.lk/.

Addressing media organisations at the launch, Mr Maxwell Paranagama, Chairman of the Commission stated that the launching of the website will enhance the independence and transparency of the work of the Commission and provide better access to information to the public.

“The Commission has always acted with independence and transparency, and it is important to instill faith in the public by providing them knowledge about the work of the Commission and enabling them to make suggestions to correct the direction of the Commission work,” Mr Paranagama added.

The website features facilities for the public to access information in all three languages, lodge a complaint to the Commission on-line, and download Data Capture Forms to make complaints. It also provides information on progress on the complaints received, dates of Public Sittings, procedure to make a complaint, gazette notifications, and a section on FAQ.
