President releases baby turtles


President Mahinda Rajapaksa released baby turtles hatched at the Bentota Turtle Conservation Project, to the sea on May 29.

The release of baby sea turtles to the sea took place at the Sea Turtles Conservation Project premises.

The President who was on a visit to Bentota joined in the release of sea turtle hatchlings accepting an invitation extended to him.

After joining in the release of the baby sea turtles to the sea, the President also seized the opportunity of exchanging pleasantries with the people who gathered there.

The turtles were released, wishing long life to the President, the members of the forces and the entire nation.
