President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Cuban President Raul Castro held bilateral discussions during his stay in Santa Cruz in Bolivia yesterday (June 16). Two Presidents attended the G77 Heads of States Conference in Bolivia.
During the bilateral discussions, the Cuban president stated that Cuba will continuously support Sri Lanka in the international arena.
“We like to work with leaders like you; Fidel wanted me to convey his regards to all friends of Cuba. You are one of our friends,” said President Raul Castro.
President Rajapaksa thanks him and said, “we feel comfortable when you are there, we know we have a friend who understands us.”
