President Mahinda Rajapaksa after concluding a successful two-day state visit to Maldives arrived in Pointe Larue Seychelles International Airport this evening (27). First Lady Shiranthi Wickremasinghe Rajapaksa is accompanying the President.
Seychelles President James A. Michel, Vice President Danny Faure, High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Seychelles Rajatha Piyatissa and Sri Lanka's Honorary Consul in Seychelles Errol Fonseka warmly received President Rajapaksa at the airport.
Following the welcome ceremony President left for Savoy Resort.
President Rajapaksa will hold bilateral discussions with President Michel on Saturday (28). Several bilateral agreements will be signed after discussions. President Rajapaksa is also scheduled to open the Sri Lanka Embassy in Victoria.
