Deputy President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa concluded his working visit to Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
"He met various political leaders, including paying a courtesy call to President Mahinda Rajapaksa to deliver a message from President Jacob Zuma," Ramaphosa's spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa said.
"Deputy President Ramaphosa is expected to brief President Zuma on his engagements in Sri Lanka," Mamoepa said.
During his stay in Sri Lanka the South African Vice President held discussions with President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Minister Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris, and Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
He also visited Jaffna and met with the representatives of Tamil political parties.
